Living Room Before & After

Before and afters are my favorite. When I stop to think about all we've done, I feel pretty proud of our progress! The living room has been done for a couple months now, but we had a few things going on (aka getting married) so I didn't get around to posting.

Before.

The drapes were taken down and thrown into the trash immediately.

The previous owners left us a beautiful piano. It needs some fixing, but I love having it in our home.

They also left us this antique red furniture - love having extra seating!

The half bathroom has pink drapes. It gives off a pink vibe from down the hallway - I hate it!

Don't let him fool you - he doesn't play.

Reality of renovating.

After.
*Editor's note: the walls are GRAY, but depending on the lighting or time of day, they do have a blue tint. Grays are so hard. It looks awesome in person, but photographs weird sometimes.

As I said before, these photos were taken months ago, so obviously I've changed and rearranged a million things. Bar cart is now on that empty wall.

*chalkboard, not TV ;)

I love book shopping at thrift stores. I have found some pretty cool books!

LOVE our staircase. I envision our children (someday) sitting on the steps waiting to open Christmas gifts. I have a soft spot for Christmas traditions.

Don't worry - we have a T.V. now to sit on the stand.

Ottoman now sits where the bar cart used to.

Coffee table was a Goodwill find. I walked in as it was being put out. Timing is key at Goodwill!

T.V. stand was a Craigs list find. Painted the top off-white to add some contrast to the wood.

Finally put batteries in this baby (literally yesterday).

Our couches were purchased at a local furniture shop.
I love the look of them - and they're very comfortable!

Beautiful wallpaper in the stairway. It will be staying!

Heart eyes.

A little paint and better drapes make a huge difference!

Yay to another room done!
